    valves hit piston???

If you are going to test it yourself, you may as well do it a bit more accurately. while the head is off put a small amount of plasticine on the piston where the valves may contact, so you can see exactly how much clearance there is......don't do anything stupid like I did and use bluetack or...

    High Rise Cam

Hey Thumpy, not sure if I will be much help but will try. From my limited knowledge... I think you will need to upgrade your springs If you go any bigger than standard with the cam, to help prevent valve float and more importantly binding of the springs... Depending on how much lift and...

    AS 03 pumptrouble

^^^^^^^^^^Ignore that post.....I just realized it was a dummy compression adjuster not air valves. :o "AS-03 have chrome steel construction on the legs and are only 35mm. They also have a dummy compression adjuster that does nada. Still a reasonable fork just have to mod them...

    AS 03 pumptrouble

Cant realy help on the valve size, but I thought the AS03's had a dummy air valve in them (that does jack). I dont know anything about them myself, but think I read something on it in this thread; http://www.miniriders.com.au/forum/tech-talk/10212-fastace-as02-as03-forks.html

    Porting!

Excellent thanks for clearing that up a bit Mack (flipped those pics around too), I have a very basic understanding of the principles involved, in high velocity porting and I did try to make the intake port a bit wider around this area. But wasnt sure exactly how much to build the floor up and...

    Porting!

Thanks for the kind words Mack, I knew it would not be perfect but it sound like I am sort of getting in the ball park with the short side. Wish I had of seen that "homework" post before I did a final clean up of the port (saw a link or an add for it in his break in secrets article and even...

1/4 turn throttle / Electric start

Hahaha No worries, I forgot to mention you should probably try to lube up, where the tube slides in the clamps as well (but not where it clamps onto the bars). Also while you are at it you may as well spray some down the throttle cable as well... The better lubed it all is the smoother it...

1/4 turn throttle / Electric start

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Make sure you remember to lube up your handle bar with a silicon spray or something slippery, before you slide the throttle on. Or it will feel sticky when you try and open the throttle, from all the friction of the throttle rubbing on the bars. Only lube up the bars where the...

    tires

Yes if you park your bike in the shed... they wont wear anymore. Just ride them till they are bald and then get some more. Some hard surfaces will wear the crap out of nobies so mabey find some mud or grass and ride there instead. Also If the turbo kit you are talking is on of those...

    tires

Ummm I would say the easiest way to fix the problem would be to change the trye lol :D Here are some useful threads; http://www.miniriders.com.au/forum/tech-talk/12554-changing-tyres.html http://www.miniriders.com.au/forum/tech-talk/11574-tips-tyre-changing-please.html...

    Sprocket - How many teeth?

Another good thing about a large front sprocket is it will also lift the chain off the swing arm and chain guide, which can rob a bit of power. I would try going up to a 17 on the front first and if it is still not enough for you, mabey think about a 37 rear sprocket. That is what I run on...
