Well today i did a 90km ride (2 tanks worth) following some mates through some seriously tuff fire trails (my old TTR250 strugled in some spots there) and the little PP came through with flying colours and no broken parts. Did one huge hill climb about 200m long with a 80-100m ascent litered...

Also i need to give onlinebikesnbits (ebay seller) a bit of good feedback. I sent them a email about the poor delivery time and they are sending me out a free genuine uni filter and HD chain.;)

I bent the exhaust spring mounts out and that stopped the rattles:D I still havent had a chance to do the front pads but i will give them a light sand before i take it for a run on the weekend

Yeah cool mate i will give it a go anf355 thanks for your respons but i will try goose's trick first:cool: Do you recon riping the pads out and giving them a rub on some smooth concrete would help get the pads working better? or are there any after market pads for these that bite well. im...

Well i got mine yesterday and it is very easy to assemble, even someone with no bike/mechanical know-how could do it if they had too. it fired up second kick which was also good! The only problem i had with mine was missing one fender bolt (55c from the fastner supply store) and an annoying...

    damn road rules.READ IT

That’s the funniest thing I have read in a while, even on the internet:eek: :D You answered your own question/statement right there. Your complaining about not being able to do as you please (ie: no restrictions) but yet you haven’t proved your skill (not that many P platers have any skill...

^^^^ dont know about a fleet:eek: . 4L thinned out will paint a whole RX7 but if your paint all the engine bay, door jams, floors and the interior of the hatch area then you will find paint runs out quick;) If your doing a dodgy paint job and just painting the pannels as they sit on the...

    My VL Commodore project

To bad mate, i love old school rotors and have built a few up but i must admit they are bloody expensive to get finished and trying to find some parts is a mission.

you will want more than 4L to paint a whole car. i bought 8L and almost used it all. Depends on how good you want it to come out put i layed 3 layers of colour and then did 2 clear coats (and obviously primer first:p )

    My VL Commodore project

I think you hit the nail on the head there. When people were saying they are the sexiest car around i think it is more that they have fallen in love with a cult car and that will make you biased. The VL is a cult car due to the fact at the time they were leauges ahead of similar cars... Plus...

Smart man although a wild NA will make either of those cars fly. Just a tad to expensive as a first car unless your rolling in it (well RX4 sedans arent that bad but an RX3 $$$$$....:D )

Both S2-S3 RX7s that were aus delivered had the option of an electric sunroof. My red RX7 came with one which was handy but if your super tall i would try to find one with out a sun roof as it robs you of about an inch of interior head room

Should we have a section for cars?

Brad i think on page one they deicded it would be for "other hobbies" which to me is a good thing. Personally cars are a big passion of mine and obviously quite a few other people but if the forum/sub-forum was dedicated to hobbies and interests it will clear up other forums of junk so it will...

    Need Motard Tires

I think the DHZ $99 12" rims and tyres is the cheapest mini motard set on ebay. I have never seen them for $60 (although i have only been looking at mini motard parts for 4-5 weeks:p )

    My VL Commodore project

Mate i dont need to defend anything i was mearly pointing out some facts. I love rotors, V8's and everything in between but not some VN (or pretty much any other post 88 commo or ford) poo cart etc My next project will be big displacement but only cause a rotary isnt really suited to a ute...

She wasnt far off having a 10G motor in it lol I could have chucked a turbo setup in making twice the power like my other rotor BUT cause it was for club racing i had to have a period motor. The motor was able to rev to 10,500rpm, and had every bit of NA voodoo black magic done to it. Not cheap...

    My VL Commodore project

I never said i liked rice, boy racers, body kits or bling. My rotors have been classic metal, will run rings around most cars ( built for circuit not striahgt line but yet they ate nearly everything on the streets that was road regod). One of my mates down here owns the fastest street car...

    My VL Commodore project

I still missed the sexy part, its a 4 door family sedan for christs sake:p Bang for buck there arent bad but there certainly not the best, also you should probably revise some of those statements cause the really quick VL T's have a stupid amount of engine and driveline mods, for the same...

    My VL Commodore project

Or you could forget about both holden and ford and come join the dark side and drive a fire breathing rotary that will shit on both of the above mentioned cars :D :p Although the VL turbo does have one good thing, it has a nissan motor and GMH were 20 years ahead of ford witha the turbo6...

    Being a S1 RX7 it will be either 1979 or 1980 (sa22c), 1987 would make it a S5 RX7 (FC) ;)
