Going to try the new Hummer G4

Thanks a heap for all your info Rod.. But yes I am a little weary about some places advertising their parts as hummer compatible but actually aren't, hence my questions as to where to get good spares from!! I'll certainly invest in grabbing most of what you've suggested, although hoping I...

Going to try the new Hummer G4

Yeah same here, After a year or so's use outta these is well worth the small price tag I think, still a much cheaper way of having fun than buying a honda or whatnot! Thanks for that info though, I may have to contact Ben for a thing here and there, but so far nothing has broken bar my clutch...

Going to try the new Hummer G4

Hey all!! Just pulled my KX outta the dust after being bogged down with work for ages and took it for a blast.. Checked it over, oil changing it tonight, everything seems to be in good order still! But today my brother, who has an Atomik ProX250 has a broken rear brake caliper and his front one...

Going to try the new Hummer G4

Hey, I'm not sure if the G4's have this, but on my KX there is a little cylindrical rubber thing on a hose, coming vertically out of the crank case.. I can hear it bumping around down there when I ride (though I have secured it since then). My mate reckons its a crank case breather, but I'm not...

Going to try the new Hummer G4

Thanks for that rodbox, much appreciated! Sorry to bother you again though, but I was out riding today and that little rubber thing that sits on the swing arm which the chain rubs against (i dont know what its called) has fallen apart and fell off in my paddock.. Now the chain is griding away...

Going to try the new Hummer G4

Has anyone had a problem with the fuel cap leaking a little? Everytime I go for a ride on my KX (and I'm hoping someone with a G4 knows a way to rememdy this) a few maybe 2-3 drop of fuel will have seeped out from the bottom of the fuel cap. Ive looked inside and the little rubber thing is there...

Going to try the new Hummer G4

Thanks Weegee! My main point, the KX shock outdoes the ProX one by far in my opinion (as well as my brothers)

Going to try the new Hummer G4

My brother has the ProX and we compared the suspension between our bikes, (even though mine is a KX its still close to the G4) and the ProX suspension is stiff as all hell and doesnt have the gas shock as on the tomahawks.. The suspension, for our style of riding at least, is much more...

Going to try the new Hummer G4

Yeah that is true.. I'll just do that rather than upgrade the front sprocket, I'll just get a better quality chain to make up for it!! Thanks for all your help.. Can't wait to get it all together!

    hummer 250

The hummers are a good bike! Better than most of the import bikes.. They are fun to tinker with and with a few new bits like levers and a chain, run great and are quite reliable!

Going to try the new Hummer G4

After a little looking around, it seems apparent that a 52T rear is harder to get than I thought!! But of course.. To keep a similar drive ratio, I could do with a 56T and a 17T.. Or is that not wise? And on the bataycan site, the 17T sprocket listing says that a sports exhaust will be needed...

Going to try the new Hummer G4

Ah, interesting.. Sorry I should've specified the kinda riding I do! Well I'm not one for climbing gruesome hills on motobikes, I'd rather fly around tracks mixing it up between shot technical turns as well as longer ones, with a few jumps chucked in here and there.. Maybe I should opt for...

Going to try the new Hummer G4

Hey all! I've just finished reading through all these posts and I think it'd be hard to express the thanks to everyone who contributed!! I'm 18 and haven't ridden since I was 10 on a little ZR50.. I've just got my new Tomahawk KX 250, which by the sounds of it is almost the same as the G4...
