poor performance

Help please!! My BSE 160 stopped dead, would not start again. Long story short I put it in to the shop to be looked at it was due for a service anyways. Before this issue its been a mad bike and never missed a beat , bloke says the stator was the issue, got the bike serviced, stator replaced...
