checking the valve clearances

hi guys just wondering how to check if the valve clearances are ok.can someone please give me diagram.cheers

P.s Get urself some Feeler gauges, ones with the bent ends are easier to use, go for 3 thou inlet and 4 - 5 thou Zaust
