Finanlly got my bike running.
Buts is miss firing cronically. I think it may have something to do with cam timing.
Ive tried a different cdi, different spark plug...

anyone got any ideas let me know!

man ur timing is terrible, have you put a different head on your original cylinder?

you probly need a new cam sprocket or chain, check all your clearences an stuff first, coz its running just not well, something is off a couple of mil somewhere

check your magneto for nething blocking the votlage getting from the coils in the magneto giveing a false firing, CDI could be at fault often causing miss firing. Yor cam chain timing might be off aswell.

Well digging up an old thread that i didnt really bother keeping up to date.

Since last post i have got:
valve/cam timing spot on.
compression
checked spare cdi and coil
check valves clearance
spark plug
spare carby

leaving only the magneto. So its off just waiting for a replacement... hopefully ill be back on teh dirt soon

yep, but intermittantly fires as it should and hence full power. But the intermittance is not bump/vibration induced... so its not wiring.
