measuring intake..

hey guys,
i need a new carby for my genuine 110cc thumpstar..
I have been told to measure the intake to find the size in mm (eg.22mm)
is this correct?

well, you want to measure the throat of the carbie, or basically right where the slide is. vertically and horizontally.

dont bother...just get a 22 or 24mm mikuni its about the best bet and saves wasting time...

only if its a round bore, which it more than likely wont be
