PERTH ONLY:

Bike Preparation
All bikes must be prepared to Motorcycling Australia (MA) Supermoto Guidelines as a minimum.

All bikes (Including Juniors) entering the racetrack must be race prepped as indicated in the list below.

Practice days at Midvale:

- One way valve on fuel cap breather hose
- Catchment tank for radiator fluid
- Catchment tank for fuel hoses & breather lines
- Lockwire sump plug, and all fluid filler caps
- Glycol based water mixes are not permitted. Only distilled water may be used in the radiators.
- Lock wire brake caliper bolts

Race days at Wanneroo circuit has extra requirements for bike preparation to limit the damage to the track surface when there is a crash, and to also limit the chances of a fuel spill.

- Oggy knobs / Skate board wheels must be fitted to the bike axles front and rear
- Peg sliders need to be fitted to the underside of the foot pegs

For race days, there are extra requirements for bike preparation:

- Race numbers must be present on all 3 plates
- Bikes are subject to scrutineering prior to entry on to the race track

They are all standard rules for all clubs that I know of even big bikes, except for the pegs, and if you can prove that the axle ends aren't the first part to touch the track in a crash then you don't need sliders.

Here's some pics of the race prep I've done to help a few people out:

Lock wire sump plug, next oil change remove the plug, centre pop it in the side and line it up on the top. Drill into the side with 2mm drill bit and then drill into the top until the two holes meet:

Fill plug, easy drill through one end of the plastic plug and twitch the wire:

Cable tie a 200ml catch bottle to the sump bash plate and feed both carby hoses into it:

Drill both brake caliper bolts side and top like the sump plug and remount the caliper, twitch the lock wire. One note with all of the bolt drilling, mark the bolt with a marking pen when it is tight so you drill it in the right place. You want the lock wire to be pulling the bolt in a clockwise direction just in case it did come loose:

Re " a) Must be Motard designed bike, no road race "

That's a load of b.s.
Another reason not to run under MA.
no off road section then what's the problem ?

i just do prectice days at a track, a mates deal no ma crap.. rules are wear sliders and dont leak oil and your good to go

Yea sweet where that at ?

Dunno who woulda come up with rule like that ? Mental. especially when you look at the b class is it ? No bigger than 12 inch wheel ? Apart from cosmetics clip on bars are the main difference !!

I saw that rule hit the book around the start of 2012, I don't agree with it. These rules should be engineered to allow scooters, posties, minigp, really any bike of that general size!!

There's ways around it anyway!! You have to create your own class and submit it to MA for approval, as long as you don't have any rules that will allow two very different bikes (i.e. completely different racing lines) on the track at once they will approve it!!

When the rules were written, there were a number of concerned people that omitting that rule would allow certain bikes to fall within the rules that would make most china bikes and even the miniGP obsolete if you want to be competing at the front, and more than doubling the cost.

However, all you need is for the person writing the Supp regs to amend or omit the rule to allow the bikes you want, just can't be done at a national championship level. Scooters and posties do fall within the rules, they run an auto gearbox with the wheels sizes and engine type and capacities.

Yea i understand.

just you look at takegawa parts people put on etc . apart from clip on bars there very little in it most cases.
