hey illusive dreams...why do you need to use full synthetic oil for these air cooled bikes?
iam suggesting you don,t and it is probably a little overkill for reliablity. mobil mineral base is good enogh for these for an example.
change your oil more often and it should,nt be a problem.

I agree with what you say completely. In general using a cheeper oil and replacing it more often is much better than buying top dollar oil and replaing it once a year..

But most of us are lazy we dont change our oil all the time....

Lastly ... When you are pushing your bike to the limitts of its ability you know Motul 5100+ will never be the cause of you damaging your motor.. The silk smooth gear chages are still better with higher end oils than with cheeper staff..


It comes down to what can you afford......


Lets say you buy a bottle of Motul 5100 from Elstar (us) $44 a bottle 4 liters... Your bike avg is 1.3 liters a service ...It costs you $14 to service your joy with out compremise? The bottle will last you 3 services....

Again guys change more regularly is always better..than less...USe what you can afford ..
