The South West Minimoto Club
SWMMC opperates out of the Warrnambool Go-Kart club track and runs monthly club meets that everyone is welcome to come and ride, watch or volunteer with flags or marshalling.
The 2011 dates are as below;
May 15th, Warrnambool – Club Day & 'All in King Race' - Run
June 12th, Warrnambool – Club Day - Run
July 10th, Warrnambool – Practice Day - Cancelled
August 7th, Warrnambool – Club Day - Run
September 4th, Warrnambool – Novelty race day
October 2nd, Warrnambool –Club day
November 4th - 6th, Warrnambool – Victorian Titles
December 4th, Warrnambool – Southwest Games
There are a number of classes that are run, from stock 50cc through to 85cc 2-stroke neck snapping machines. There is a class for everyone and bikes are even maintained for people wanting to come and try.
Pocket bike classes;
CAG (Chinese bike with CAG crank cases and barrels)
Replica (Chinese replica of Euro machines)
Elite 40 (Open with a max capacity of 40cc)
Elite 50 (Open with a max capacity of 50cc)
Motard classes;
Fat Fiddy (stock 50cc, no modifications)
Midi (110cc 4-stroke or 50cc 2-stroke with centrifugal clutch or locked in gear)
Chinese motard (4-stroke chinese engine with max capacity of 160cc for seniors 16yo+, 140cc for juniors 13-15yo, and 125cc for juniors to 12yo
Open Motard (capacity as above or 85cc 2-stroke for all ages)
MiniGP
A new class that will have its first run in May, with rules to be determined in the near future.
Race day fees
$25 race fees with unlimited class entires
$5 day club membership
$45 day licence, includes applicable rider insurance though MA
If you already have an MA licence (restricted, min level) then day licence fee can be waived.
If you are already a member of SWMMC then day membership can be waived. I think Annual membership is $35.
