    picked up a second bike

OK that looks good but the spring thickness is 9mm and I just checked the TDR and the spring thickness is 12mm. I wonder what that would equal in pounds... I like the first 2nd hand one you linked too but am nervous about the 1200lb spring. I asked the seller and he said it would be fine...

    picked up a second bike

no linkage on the TDR. I was looking at that 2nd hand DNM shock but the spring is 1200lb. That is the highest I have seen so figured it might be a bit extreme..... no one local will touch china bikes so I'm going to have to guess. 250lb is about as low as I have seen. does a slight...

reviving an old post as I need help with a rear shock. I have read here that the TDR150 rear shock is crap and I have to agree. I weigh about 85kg and if I sit while riding fast over dips it scrubs out. I mostly ride a CR125 now so this is my sons bike, he weighs around 60kg. We have just...

ok, carby fitted with larger jets and bike seems to be running the best it ever has. The Jing Ke carb I pulled of had a more assessable fuel screw, I was turning it with an old hose clamp opened up and bent at 90 deg. The fuel screw on the mikuni's is a b*tch to get at! I would really like to...

    picked up a second bike

Thanks my67xr. Nice to know I can count on you for advice! I rang a few different dhz dealers and received different advice from all of them. The first said the 26mm Mikuni with stock jets (15/95) would be fine, when I questioned this he agreed I might need to increase the mixture. The next...

    picked up a second bike

A lot has happened since my last posts. Have gone out riding lots, had at least one major stack and worked on the bikes heaps..... the latest drama I am having is carby problems I think. The bike now starts to miss under load once the throttle is opened up.... I'm thinking it is a blocked...

    Best fuel to use

yep, i have been using 95 to avoid ethanol. didn't know it would clog jets, more just so it has a shorter shelf life as it adsorbs moisture from the atmosphere. motorman mentioned 'engine cleaning' additives in 98 and that they are bad for bikes.... can somebody explain this in more detail...

    Best fuel to use

I have been using injector cleaner mixed with 95 since day one. was on special and I figured it can't be much different to carby cleaner mix? are you saying this is not a good idea?

You Know What Really Grinds My Gears?

ordering something on the weekend from ebay for my bike so that I will have it for the next weekend and it doesn't get here till the week after! It's a f'ing joke, I can get stuff delivered from the uk in two weeks most times, even got one parcel in 7 working days..... so why does it take the...

    looking for sprockets

I don't have any first hand experience yet with changing ratio's. I'm basing this idea on the discussion of gearing on this forum. A lot of people seem to suggest that 17t front, 37t rear is ideal as it gives a moderately higher top speed and the engines seems powerful enough that the...

    Pitpro 50 Review

I used the Castrol fork oil from Supercheap, but the 15w (case I'm a lot heavier then you) to rebuild the forks on my apollo 125. Couldn't be happier with the results. I couldn't see you saving anything by buying online once you factor in the freight....

    looking for sprockets

I decided to buy two of these 18t sprockets for a start http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/260982314711?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 Won't be as tall as 17:37 but will improve the ratio on both bike significantly from where they are now
