nah it was all good, got a whole new centre case upgrade kit free of charge.

just had to replace the idler bearing in the centrecase, ended up not having the upgraded centre case and gears after all! fukerz

pipe down chachi, :) so your saying if i measure the kickstart axle with some verniers and its OD is 14mm its the upgrade?? il keep ya posted, just gotta get my verniers from work on monday.

yeah only thing im worried about is the centrecase not being the upgraded one, and the difference between quality of the Molkt carbi compared to the Mikuni VM24 that was suppose to come on the engine instead.

is it possible to tell if you have a GPX 160 if its got the upgraded centrecase without obviously pulling it apart?? i also got told that you should try to kick start it at top dead centre, how the fu*k do i know if its at top dead centre without pulling the spark plug out and looking at the...

also just spoke to Brian from East 50's and he said the new GPX 160's have a whole new centre case including stronger bearings and shit. hopefully this will solve the problem.

hopefully he can give it to me in writing that it has the upgraded centre case and idler bearing otherwise i wont get it.

just spoke to the dude from DHZ and apparently they have upgraded the gears on the new models to overcome this problem, not sure how i could prove this though!
