Greetings from Norway! In regards of the lifan 125, I was just wondering about engine maintenance. I bet mine has ran nearly 100 troublefree hours, oil changes every 10 hours or so. Got a magnetic oil drain bolt, which is a must in my opinion. Valves are checked every 20 hours I guess...

Yea this is a mikuni copy(well made though), they are not the same :) Ehmm..wouldnt choke on be when the plunger is down and sealing the hole? And choke off when the hole is open letting more air in, and lever in up position? If you search Mikuni Vm22 Pz26 on ebay, you can see some pictures of...

There is no choke flap, otherwise it would be very easy to spot which position its in. The lever is connected to a plunger which goes up and down. Lever down and the plunger goes down sealing the hole. Lever up and the hole is open. Just noticed this, due to a small hole in the side of the carb...

Got a lifan 125cc, a few extra holes in the exhaust and a uni airfilter(oiled) I installed a Mikuni VM22 26mm(copy), and it didnt seem to give the bike much more grunt than stock carb. I have been running with the choke lever down....which I now believe is choke ON. Can anyone tell me excact...

I have a Lifan 125cc, with a Mikuni copy. It's a VM22 26mm. Where in the world do I find jets for it? Believe I need 17.5 pilot and perhaps a 100-105 main jet. I tried tuning it today, with good and bad results. Changed needle clip one up from 4th position, that means leaning it out...

I checked the bolt behind the rubber bung, it seemed fine. Took the entire clutch side cover off, to check the other one, didnt damage the gasket luckely! I found out that one of the 4 screws on the clutch had been damaged from factory, so I will be struggling a loooot if I ever need to take it...

As the title of this Thread states, my lifan 125 engine jumped out of second gear by itself yesterday when I was riding trails. I hit a bump and it got in neutral and revved up... My clutch IS adjusted correctly, so it must be something inside the gearbox thats gone bad suddenly? I got 20...

Yes it has an adjuster mid way down :) I have adjusted it to what I think works! There shouldnt be a problem! But I will look into it!

I have a lifan 125cc, are these engines considered good? Its the 1 down, rest up engine! Starts easely, runs good, Ive changed oil a lot during break in so I should expect good engine life! My only concern is the tranny, its difficult sometime to put it in neutral, and if I wiggle the bike...

Made the Valve clearance completely right now, haha! Well thats good :) It runs very good now, but still...would the valve ticking be of concern..it's a bit louder then normal In my opinion...But im not used to Pit bike engines so..

Yes yes, good to hear! I didnt run it much when it ran bad, so the valves should be okey! Gonna make the clearance right, now! Their just a bit tight

Are you talking about Millimeters or Inches? It seems like you're talking about 004 inches, and thats about 0.10 millimeters! So the manual is right after all, I sat both the valves a little tight then, gonna change that right away! seemed to be running fine though!

I have no clue what the valve clearance were from factory, but it has never made any ticking noise. The manual state 0.10mm actually, I've never adjusted the valves to those specifications! I will go down to 003 on inlet and 004 on exhaust then, thanks for the info! Hopefully it will run even...

I will try that for sure :) why does the manual say 0.10? shouldnt all 125cc stock engines have the same clearance?
