Those are the same as my bike, with some modifications my bike does 51Kph which is 32mph and I weigh 90kg (about 200pounds). If you are lighter it helps. They dont go off road all that well, but if you are just riding up and down the street they will be fine. Don't expect to just unpack it...

It seems the Chinese like to measure the outside diameter of the tyre when fitted on the wheel and call that the wheel size. That's how it's been done on my bike anyway, rims are about 8" but the tyre is labeled 12".

All motorcycles with swingarms/rear suspension are like that and the greater the suspension travel, the harder it is to get the chain tension correct. Ideally the pivot would be at the same point as the front sprocket which would solve the problem but the trouble is, the front sprocket gets in...

Definetly a Thumpstar would be the best mini dirt bike for $500 shipped. Trouble is you probably wont find one at that price. You'll have to do a bit of research, check out local and online resellers, see what Chinese bikes they have and compare the specs. You might get a CRF50 copy for that...
