Run it in how you want, dilligaf? I was actually referring to the fact that the frame/forks etc hadn't broken, but since you're the expert I'll let you take if from here gazza.

    want a dirt bike

Those are the same as my bike, with some modifications my bike does 51Kph which is 32mph and I weigh 90kg (about 200pounds). If you are lighter it helps. They dont go off road all that well, but if you are just riding up and down the street they will be fine. Don't expect to just unpack it...

    Very nice looking China bike.

I wouldn't buy it for that price either, it's a rip off at that much money. If you look on his website, http://www.redhot-sales.com he's got the F7/L7 (whatever you want to call it) for $599  So he's expensive for everything. Wait another 6 months and that Thumpstar copy will be...

    Very nice looking China bike.

This would have to be the best Chinese Thumpstar copy I've seen yet. It has a price to match though :( I'd like to get one of these next, though I will have to sell some stuff first! Check it: Full speil...

whats the best mini dirtbike for 500

It seems the Chinese like to measure the outside diameter of the tyre when fitted on the wheel and call that the wheel size. That's how it's been done on my bike anyway, rims are about 8" but the tyre is labeled 12".

$600 mini 110, you get what you pay for! GEARBOX PROBS

All motorcycles with swingarms/rear suspension are like that and the greater the suspension travel, the harder it is to get the chain tension correct. Ideally the pivot would be at the same point as the front sprocket which would solve the problem but the trouble is, the front sprocket gets in...

whats the best mini dirtbike for 500

Definetly a Thumpstar would be the best mini dirt bike for $500 shipped. Trouble is you probably wont find one at that price. You'll have to do a bit of research, check out local and online resellers, see what Chinese bikes they have and compare the specs. You might get a CRF50 copy for that...

    cheap 110cc bikes

No worries. Didn't want you getting bent out of shape just cause we disagree on something. Disagreement is good

    cheap 110cc bikes

Thats ok, good even :D Debate = thinking and ultimately everyone has to draw their own conclusions based on their own experiences. I should qualify my statement earlier by saying I would agree with you too, thrashing is no good (although I have thrashed my pocketbike as much as I could from...

    cheap 110cc bikes

Geez mate, take a chill pill, no need to get a bug up your arse about this you know? I never once mentioned that you hadn't owned bikes before, you're acting like I'm getting all personal and shit when I'm not. Ok, you think running in is for real, I think it's bullshit. Nothing wrong with...

    cheap 110cc bikes

It doesn't matter, I had LESS than 1500kms on mine when I hit the rev limiter (it might have been less than 1000kms I dont remember). The point I'm making is (and what that web page is saying), plain bearings run on a cushion of oil, what is there to run in? There is NO metal to metal contact...

    cheap 110cc bikes

Then that would be oil starvation in my opinion. Read this (doesnt get into the bearing stuff till about 1/4 way down) http://mototuneusa.com/circular_logic.htm My 2002 bonneville had plain big ends and possibly mains too, I didn't run it in (infact I hit the rev limiter (7,600rpm) a few...

    Speed testing results

Still a bit dissapointed (though really 50kph from 50cc is good, imagine if your kx would do 250kph!) I will get more  The good thing about the big ones is I think you can have little offs and not hurt yourself (though the big ones are REALLY big), but these are so close to the...

    New pipe

Re: nice pipe Yeah, I might even dig out the calculator and work it out, it was only a trial at this stage, but since it's worked pretty good I've bought some 1" pipe that I will fill with sand and heat to bend so it doesn't collapse. Also got a longer straight section to go inbetwen the...

    Speed testing results

Headed out to the local pine forest on Saturday for some speed trials on the pocket bike  Results were ok, but a bit dissapointing. I only tested frankenpipe cause I couldn't be bothered with the other one, sorry Gaz  Maximum speed (that I saw, I couldn't watch the speedo...

    New pipe

No worries. I was thinking about doing that test anyway, so I will try and give it a go. Frankenpipe is easy to get on and off, the stock one is a bit of a pain cause of the way it goes up and over the back, but I'll see what I can do. I'm hoping to get around 50kph out of it, but we'll see...

    New pipe

Well, the new pipe is heaps better than the original dodgey stock item. Much better bottom end, havent had a chance to try the top end yet as I was only riding around the yard. I was going to wait for my 6 tooth clutch setup and test it then, but I couldnt wait  I also fitted a...

    Off Road Pocket Bikes

Doh! I just had a close look at the picture of the bike in your ebay link, it's actually slightly different (ok, it's better) than the one I bought (damnit!) I bought a shitty one like this: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32074&item=4541891573&rd=1 which has next to...
