Just got me a 125 pit bike. After break in, im looking at some mods.

Maybe a cam, some porting(buddies a mechanic, im just a garage hack).

Im new to the whole Overhead cam thing, as i race go karts with honda gx200, and am comortable with the pushrod ohv;s.

Can someone guide me as to where to get performance parts, from mild to wild.

Im looking to stay reliable aswell.

My buddies is going to give me a cam. Its a 250 lift stock spring cam. How should i go about installing it.

Also what kind of speeds could i see with a 17 tooth front drive sprocket, with everything stock?

yes, its a question from mild to wild plus reliability as well, then comes the 17 tooth front pinion. i sugest you contact ESD on this site .
