140cc LIFAN wireing help please

hey guys bought this bike today was a neat lil score with 1 problem thou

the guy who owned it before me stuffed the wireing up big time so i cant even get spark atm


he replaced the coil and the magneto and also looks like he messed around with the cdi plug the idiot but not to sure

ive spent around 3 hours now trying to figure it out with no luck

so here we go

the magneto/ engine wire are

red/black wire
yellow wire
blue and white wire
white wire
green wire


colours going into cdi plug are

red/black wire
blue and white wire
green wire

in this order with plug holder clip at bottom
top left empty
top middle green
top right empty
bottom left blue/white
bottom middle empty
bottom right red/black


coil has
green wire
black/yellow wire

kill switch has

green wire
black/white wire



please help this is doing my head in and i really want to ride

any one able to give me a step by step way ?

i am completly hopeless at reading those diagrams

nvm worked it out

but still got no spark ive completely dissconnected the kill switch so it cant be that

any other idea's ? possible a cdi unit ?

you dont need the white and yellow wires from the engine there for lights and charging it looks like your wires in the cdi are wrong it they go like
top left red/black from engine
top center black/white kill swich
top right green from engine or some were in your loom its the same green as kill switch and coil its earth
bottom left black/yellow from coil
bottom center none
bottom right blue/white from engine
clip at the bottom

not the plug neither i even put a screw driver in the cap to check and got nothing

all you can do then is just go over it make sure everythings all right going where its ment to go. you can pickup a cdi or coil preety cheap of ebay or even better a hole new loom with cdi and coil for around 50 bucks

guess ill just have to wait till next week end


im geting 2 more bikes anouther 140cc and a 125cc

the 140cc go's and has just been rebuilt just needs a new bearing in rear wheel

the 125cc he has the rebuild kit and stuff tehre ive just got to put it all back together

and ive also got a spare 125cc motor in shed that came with this 140 i got now
