1997 cr250r rear shock help

I have a 1997 cr250r my rear shock is blowed out I only use the bike for trail riding and am wondering if there are any shocks I can put in this bike with little to no modification I would buy a 97 shock but people either want to much for them or there missing parts I can get a crf250 rear shock for 75 in great shape I just don't know if it will bolt up to the linkage right or not any help would be greatly appreciated

Ask the seller to measure the length between moutning bolts and mouting bolt hole sizes. If they match then the other shock fits(check the gas reservoir location for fitment too, to make sure that there are no issues with clearance between frame etc). The best way is if you happen to find a seller nearby who is willing to let you try the fitment.

I cant see there being much of a difference between the 97 and 98 cr’s, it should fit!
