Hi all, looking to do an 88cc kit on my crf50
Been looking through a lot of different kits, but there's a few to choose from

From what I know the TB race head kit with 20mm carb looks to be my favourite so far and which is what I'm leaning towards

Is anyone else running this kit?
Is it worth the money?
Is it reliable ?
What other kits would you recommend ?

Thanks guys

The tb 88 kit (standard head) is a good choice , easier to tune & the power is smoother
With the race head they are all up top power , boggy down low.
I've had both and I prefer the standard head

Really? I thought the race head would still be good down low, hmmm is it any good at all down low? Or just not as good as stock head

I have the TB88 Kit and race head.

I really liked the race head. The valves are like twice as big.

Jase is right though they are a little boggy down bottom but once you get those rev's up they go hard.

Also I wasn't a fan of the TB20mm carb. Still have it on but it's quite tricky to tune.

Really depends how much money you want to spend and whether you want to race. The 88 mod class no longer exists, it's a limited which is stock head so you may want to think about that before buying.

I'm not gonna be racing it, just want it to go better at 50cc is getting abit boring for me,

Would the one with a race head be good down low if I got a manual clutch? Cause I would like one , so would it make it better as I could rev it up and dump it?

I just wanna have a bit more power out of corners really, the 50cc can't even turn any dirt up lol

Yeah manual clutch will help for sure.

It's not like a deal breaker or anything being a bit lacking down low.

If you got a good jetting setup it would be barely noticeable.

Is there much difference up top between the stock head with cam compared to the race head?

If there not much difference in top end power I may aswell go without the head and save me some money

just get 75 cc cheater kit ? they cheep as , 88 kit in stock frame/forks/swinger set up be bit of a wheelie machine and skechey in rear end, prob need a longer swinger aswell.

Not to fussed on prices, but would rather not spend extra if it's not much difference,

And I'm planning on getting the sano +1 or 2 whatever it is swing arm,

You will definitely notice the difference , the race head ports are way bigger than a standard head

Looks like I'll just be going the tb kit with head then, #yolo
