I would advise leaving them on. I think they are there to dampen vibrations in the fins on the barrel. They used to be standard on a lot of Japanese bikes. I'm not sure of their effectiveness but they certainly don't hurt. :{)

yep, most early 90s yamaha 4 strokes have them. as stated earlier, they only
dampen vibration

yehh i no thats why i paid $1100 he said it has an aluminium cylinder block. or some thing like that

the moto man said it last longer then the normal 29 motor. so yehh looks and goes good so im happy

yes, some off the better model ducar engines come out with alloy head... which i supose is better... and might make u stick with the ducar...

and as for crangas lifan... have you had any set backs mate? hows she holding
