Hey guys my atomik 140cc nitrous arrived today and I've put it all together and it seems to be running alright

Im going to put motul oil in tomorrow as I don't trust the cooking oil that came in it

I'll also get a new air filter ( any recommendations on good ones?)

aswell as grips

Is there anything else I should get?? Im new to the bike scene so I'm trying to get my head around it all
Thanks :)

New oil ASAP!!

Uni filter (48mm angled fits the 140 nitrous I think)

Protaper grips (pillow tops are the ones I have, they are sweet)

Upgrade anything that will affect the integrity of the bike depending on how you are going to ride it. For example, if you are going to be jumping, upgrade the shock and forks immediately.

Also I'm not sure how yours will go (I have the nitrous 150cc) but my stock carby was useless out of the box so if you are going to upgrade, grab an OKO 26mm flatslide.

That's all I can think of right now mate

These are the grips I was talking about

The stock nitrous ones are a load of crapola.

Also if you have the extra coin, upgrade to a set of protaper handlebars

And here is a link to the oko carby I mentioned

I'm pretty sure this size air filter will fit but someone else can confirm

Good luck mate and if you have any more questions, just ask :)

48mm for an oko flatside but not for a stock mikuni / molkt carb !

Your in SA ate mate. We have a big group of us that ride minis all the time if ya need help etc just message me :)

Also a simple oil change on the forks will make a big change to the way it handles. if you wanna save your cash.

where in sa?...sounds interesting, havent seen many sa mini bike clubs/groups

I got similiar grips to what you said and I'm going to get those pro taper bars aswell, I don't trust the bars on there they look as weak as aluminum foil

think about a new shock too most on atomiks are pretty shabby. everyone says get protapers but u can get whatever brand bars u like, just make sure u get ones with the right diameter and are comfortable to ur riding style. i myself got a set of renthal mini racers in gold similar to these but different dimensions. made for a mini 7/8 Cross Bars - High - Spare Parts, Handlebars, Offroad Bars - Peter Stevens got them from peter stevens on special for $95 quality quality bar
