hello admins, i have a complaint to make about some members on this forum. basically we have bot accounts continually posting in our forums with posts of viagra, porn and sex sites, spyware posts and so on. i personally am really dissapointed that morons in this world think that this kind of publicity improves their business, if anything it agrovates the readers of that post and in turn threads like this are made.

this is a perfect example of how far out of control the situation has become, 4 posts in a row of 2 spammer bots posting inappropriate material for quite a few members that frequent this forum. this forum i believe is so popular due to the astounding wealth of knowledge that people have and the friendly vibe that you recieve from each and every members willing to take an extra step just to aid you in your problems.

i completly understand that you have a life outside of the forums and that you cant always be present to deal with these spam bots but it would be greatly appreciated and i believe i speak for the whole community of members when i say that they should have their account removed and some form of protection to prevent these bots from returning. maybe a setup where the auto login cookie is only enabled if you set it in UserCP. as default it should be made so you have to type in your password everytime up until such time as this UserCP value is changed. yes this wouldnt stop the account from being generated but it would prevent the frenzy of auto posting as the bot wont know how to get into UserCP.

these are only a few accounts which i believe should be removed due to inappropriate conent :

there are more accounts but i cant think of them off the top of my head. to save the administrators the trouble of having to search the forums for the perpetrators i call apon the other members of this forum to post the names of those accounts responsible for spam posting.

good onya bones for taking action against these fuks. it really shits me off i dont wanna buy viagra and porn! if i did i would got to a porn website. this is a mini bike website.

YEAH ....I vote give Bones the finger of death option , he's one of the most active members here and probably the most diplomatic .....so maybe give him the power to eradicate these fools .
 
yeh good on ya mate, its stupid, im only 15 years old n there's kids on here younger than me, its wrong to have porn n shit on a minibike site.
 
thanks for the vote of confidence in me guys but recieving administrative powers wasnt my initial intention. if this is of course what the admins choose to do in solving the issue then i am more than happy to accept the responsibility but once again this wasnt my intention. my only reasoning for this thread is to inform the current administrators of the dilema's were having on the forums at the moment and try to aid them as much as possible in the removal of these people posting explicit material on these forums.

once again thanks for the support guys, its only more of a sign of the communities aggrivation towards these spam bots.

Hi mate, in a wierd kind of way, this is good signs for miniriders. It means the site is becoming more popular and spammers see this site as a good target to try and spam their products. I encourage you to report posts which are spam so we can take immediate action when something like this happens. It goes without saying, when you do see these spam threads, the worst thing that you can do is go onto click on their website. That's what they are trying to achieve! Miniriders will show as a referral to their site giving them more reason to want to spam us, the bastards! Thanks for the heads up it's great to see members wanting to see a better environment for everyone.

hi mate. i personally thankyou for your quick reply and know exactly where your coming from with regards to referals, im a computer technician and all too often am i restoring issues on pc's, forums etc... due to cases just like this one. as "miniriders" has stated, i do urge that no one click on these links, even if you are interested you will be doing more harm than good to one YOUR pc and two the forums will suffer due to this.

i thank you again and do hope that the input from myself and other fellow miniriders is aiding you in resolving the issue.

unfortunatly i am not the moderator for this forum [ only pocket bike pbr ] and i know exactly what bones and many other guys who visit this site feel when confronted with this type of absolute shit. this is not the only site that has this problem as i have just browsed another aus forum and the same thing is there, not good. if the administrator of this forum would like a moderator to delete the bad asap i would be more than willing to do this, yes asap. I dunno he could be a hero ....we have't seen him fight crime yet , he could be really good ...So I'm behind ya all the way Franky 100% go get em tiger ..:D
