the usual story i went riding and something broke
but i thought this time it was a little weird that the spoke didnt snap and wrapped itself around my rim, it got more interesting when i took the tyre and everything else off to discover that it must have pulled through the hub
so i pulled the spoke out to find that it doesnt appear to have had a flanged head like other spokes there does not appear to be any marks indicating there it was ever flanged and im thinking it was a dodge spoke from factory
in the pics i have included with the bent spoke a 12 inch rear dhz spoke for comparison, the spoke that is bent is from a 14 inch front wheel from revolutionmx
im not really that bothered by it but i thought you guys might want something to read and have something to discuss about on a sunday
EDIT: i just looked at the spoke then to discover that some of the thread has snapped off but the funny thing is that the nipple was still attached to it
