BIG END bearing {help }

hi all ,, well i pulled my motor apart today 2 have a look see inside ,, got 2 the big end bearing and it had a little left 2 right play in it , but no up and down play in it ,, is side play ok or do i need a new big end ,,, thx 4 all the help

why did you pull it apart???

side to side is fine as it dose need some movement in it

as long as the side play is within tolerance not that they made these things with any tolorance haha
as long as you dont have any up and down play and crank turns smooth with no noches

youll find its the shaft moving inside the bearing that causes the side to side play... needs it for when it gets hot things expand

why did you pull it apart ??
