I just got my lifan 140 running and now as soon as it starts it revs off its head the throttle seams to be sliding freely, should the slide thing go all the way to the bottom or stay about 5-10mm from the bottom? ill get some pics up tomorrow.
any help will be greatly appreciated.

you need to adjust the idle screw on the carby, thats definatly wat it is

find the idle screw, start the bike, the adjust the screw to change the idle (how high the revs r when ur not pulling the throttle), tighten it to make the revs higher and loosen it to make the revs lower.

other thing to check, is that you havent installed the slide the wrong way round...
for a bike to idle, the slide should sit about .75 to 1mm off the bottom of the carb throat, and the cut out on the slide, should be facing the filter, not the engine....
