I'm getting to that stage now where in the next few months, I will be able to ride legally on the road with a 50cc motorbike. A year on from my 16th birthday, I can start taking driving lessons, pass my test and get a car.

Is it really worth me spending at least £1500 on a bike only to go and sell it a year later for less? Or should I just scrap the bike idea altogether, keep the pitbike, pimp it out and save for a car?

Definitely swaying more towards a car but I want the ability of not always having to rely on public transport and parents to get around.

Thanks,
Foxy.

get an RX, if you want a bit of independence, once you start working after you leave school or even while your still there you'll realise 1500 is like, a fortnights pay or depending what you do maybe three weeks, so it's not "alot" of money and plus you can sell it for a bit of cash after when you want the car..
