so im getting a pisterpro xjr tomorrow ( second hand) that needs a carby clean but i v heard that there carbys are **** so i was just wondering what brand and what size carby i should replace it with???
cheers guys :)

where did you hear that thier carby's are ****?

just give it a good clean and see how it goes it costs nothing to clean and tune a carby [dont worry about expensive carby cleaner use some petrol and an old tshirt]

there is no point buying things you dont need

if you find the carby is stuffed [pretty unlikely] then worry about going out and buying one

cheers

just my opinion, but the carb that comes on the xjr is rubbish and we at work have probs with them when it comes to getting a decent tune and flat spots at low idle, i changed my mates 50 carb with the mikuni vm16 and it worked really well and complimented the engine thru the whole rev range, but just my 2 bobs worth.

cheer mate i shoudl have one soon might hold of on the carby for a bit thou
