hey guys just wondering what is better? chromoly cradle frame
or the twin spar frame?
from what i heard the twin spar isnt as strong as the chromoly
and is used mainly for racing and the choromly is better suited
to fmx? is that true?
thanks fellas

no as far as i no its the other way around twin spar is super strong and suited tofmx and cromoly is weaker and lighter and suited to racing

twin spar yer. is beter stronger. not as light i hear, but i mean come on..

how porn does the frame look

:p

id go the spar.

Depends what bike your talking,

the AGB29's use a twin spare frame, and it's basically rubbish.
I'd take a equal priced chromoly frame any day.

Take a Honda Z50/XR50 for example, it's just a plain single bar chromoly frame.
I sure as hell cannot break a Z50!!

Your telling me a AGB29 Twin Spar can? that was more my point..

That all depends on the actual frame you are talking about. Keep in mind that chromolly is a type of steel not a frame design any decent frame will be made from 4130 chromo or some type of alloy.

A chromo frame will be stronger than a mild steel frame all things being equal, however as chromo is a stronger material than mild steel you can use thinner walled tubing to make the frame lighter.

oh ok yeh i was looking at a klx bbr style frame and
a one of those double tube reinforced cradle chromoly
frames and was just wondering which would be better
and stronger

ive had a crf50 bbr twin spar reall not a copy or china version and i got a reeg +5inch frame combo fr my crf 50 and to be honest the bbr frams are definatly strong but i found u could feel alot of vibrations from the engine through the frame and to get to the air filter a bit of a pain, and ou need the bbr break kit if u want disks. the reeg frames are awsome but have downside t liek there axels arnt that strong and i bend mine but i straighten it again. but alot of people like the A frame swing arm which i dont personally if u have a fast bike but some people do and then u also haveto look at what shock u use to make sure its strong enough.

to be honest go on ur style of riding, budget and what u feel comfortable buying

if its a bbr twin spare yeah ide say that its stronga but if its 1 of those cheapo 1nse no way im runing a billetware frame and it hasnt broken yet i went through dhz frames braced up stoka frame billet china frame and that but yeah ide go fiveo bilett ware or bbr twin spar frame u wont get betta
