clutch problem

hey guys ive got a question about clutches

i was riding the other day and noticed after awile when taking off in first gear that it wouldnt engage untill the lever was nearly fully let out me and my mate tryed adjusting it at the lever and the bit inbetween the engine and lever i dunno what its called and we had no luck can anyone suggest anyways to fix it myself or any ideas thanks

Ahhhh does your clutch let out smoothly or is it like the clutch is either "on" or "off" and very jerky when you take off??? My old RM is the same when it gets warm. It will be worn clutch plates and possibly worn springs.

If it feels more like an 'automatic' then your clutch plates may be worn.

If it engages fine, but you have alot of travel in the lever, then you should be able to adjust it. Chances are your cable has stretched. Replace the cable and see if that helps.
