Hey lads n lass’

I assume this thread has been posted 1000’s of time on others forums but I cant find the best answer

I’m 22 and looking at getting a bike
I’m after something small I can thrash and have fun on I don’t want to do serious riding/racing

I’ve been looking at getting a CRF/XR100 as I’ve heard they’re bullet proof

However I’m 220lbs (100kg) max I haven’t weighed myself in a while

But I’m wondering if this bike will do for what I’m after.
I won’t be hitting jumps or going extreme trail riding yet but for now will the 100 hold up?

When I get a bit more money I’ll be doing the harder springs and frame cradle, maybe the big bore kit

But for the time being I’ll be doing mostly flat ground and pretty simple trails

Have you considered the small 2-strokes ie: 85sx or KX/CR. You'll have a ton more fun on a small 2-stroke at your size and can be rebuilt extremely easy and cheaply when need be. I have a 65sx, I am 80kg and it will wheelie in 5th, awesome little bikes.

Never really thought about it, always thought they’re more for racing
I have heard that CR80 frame and suspension would be more fit for my weight

Stick to the CRF100 you can go a long way with upgrades. The small 2 strokes are peaky, hard to ride and short life.
