Hey Guys, bought a brand spanking new z50 the other day and got this datadotdna stuff. Has anyone had experience with this? and how do you apply it to the bike?
and also if I have to clean the bike, is it safe to say this stuff won't wash off?
thanks

re datadot application

Hey, make sure your bike is clean first and apply it to as many parts as you can, metal areas are best, don't put it on the outside of your farings. Put it in areas that are hard to see and hard to get to, as the idea is you don't want to see the datadots they are like invisible identification, and it takes up to 72 hours to fully cure, but make sure everything is clean first. Make sure you put the stickers in areas that are highly visible to let people know you have used it. You also need to register it online, against the VIN of your bike. Cheers

Ok thanks allstar. When you want to wash your bike, do you have to keep re applying the datadots?

nah man. once they are on there and the stuff has dried they aint coming off that is the whole idea of them:D

DATA DOT DNA is a paint on product. It is a spray on thing that has thousands of little "discs" in that have a serial number imprinted on them. The idea is that you then register whatever it is you spray them on with the company. Then in the event of theft, the cops can look for these on the parts and identify the bike, boat, p.c, etc etc. There is limitless applications to these little babies and i believe that they are a really good idea. The "discs" are about the size of a pin head so they are hard to see.
