ok what does everyone think?, get the 160 r or get the 140r for less and use the extra $$ for mods?

I think you need to work out what you actualy want from the motorbike? and where you are going to ride one?..., that will play a big part in choosing the bike,
Its been stated more then enough times all over this forum that DHZ have excelent customer service, and quit a reliable bike if you maintain it correctly.

Buy the outlaw 160, there's no replacement for displacement! Ride the hell out of it till something breaks, then start looking for upgrade parts and go faster bits. There's no point buying a 140 if your looking to bolt on go faster parts at the start, your better off buying the bigger motor from the get go.
