hey

I have a dvd burner sitting around and my mate wants to buy a dual layer burner. How can I find out if its a dual layer burner or not?

It says "dvd multi recorder" on it, but I dunno if that means its dual layer.

It's an LG, i'll get a pic soon

sid go to the lg website and find the model you have and check the specs, it will tell you

Geeze sid you can get a brand new 20x pioneer for $35. remind me never to be your mate.:p:p

hey mittz if it turns out that its not a dual layer ill probably sell it to you

yes ;) it supports dual layer

"The LG GSA-4160B can burn a full Single Layer disc in less than 6 mins. It can write +R media at 16X, -R media at 8X and can re-write at 4X. Of course, Double Layer media is also supported, at 2.4X writing speed."

LG GSA-4160B

It wont be, if it was a dual layer burner it would be well advertised and easy to find out.
