E Clip? What does it do?

The E clip on the carb slider with 5 slots in it, what the hell does it actually do? and what direction do you move it to get good bottom end???

If you move the clip up the needle you will go leaner, if you move it down the needle you will go richer. Leaning it out will make it rev a bit better, BUT if you go too lean you will trash your engine. Try moving it up 1 notch but i dont recommend doing anything unless you know how to read the sparkplug for rich/lean running.Read up on tuning in tech section b4 you do anything.
