Whats the best engine oil for your mini bike?

synthetic or not ? most at shop say fully synthetic.

whats the difference in 10w40 and 15w50 ?

also brake fluid? will dot 3 do the job? or is dot 4 better?

lol i dont know shit.
cheers lads.

get 10w40 non sythetic oil and dot 4 brake fluid, fully synthetic oil causes the clutch to slip.

super cheap only has a 10w40 synthetic based engine oil.

there was no non-synthetic 10w-40 at all?wtf?

will synthetic based be ok ? eg wont wreck my bike ?

thanks buddy

Super cheap has mineral oil(which is non synthetic). Its shell advance.

if super cheap only has synthetic oil, then shop elsewhere. These mini-tractor motors dont like synthetic, or the clutches dont like them i should say. Kmart oil, for "older vehicles" would be a good start... keep the oil changes up to it, but it's not an R1... it doesnt need oil strained from the thighs of virgins to keep it happy...
Unless you are speed racer, or constantly ride your brakes, Dot 3 will keep you out of trouble, but yes, Dot 4 is better... at the end of the day, these brakes were also designed back in the late eighties... them arent radial mounted calipers and master cylinders grabbing carbon fibre rotors... lol..

oh ok cool. thanks alot. yeh dot 4 was like 50c more, goin back now to trade my semi synthetic for some mineral.

cheers lads

I use castrol 4t, it's cheap and you can buy it pretty much anywhere
