Hello!
I'm interesting in building a quadcopter, but I'm quite a noob, this being my first ever miniquad,.
I have watched this 5 part series, on how to building a budget miniquad.

The Youtuber lists the parts that are needed as follows:

I have been researching all day for various things.

Most of the parts are the same, but I'll list them again.

Camera:
Arkbird 1/3 Sony 960H CCD 700TVL FPV Camera For Aerial Photography Sale-Banggood.com

ESC:
Emax Simonk Series 12A 20A 25A 30A 40A ESC For Quadcopter QAV250 - US$8.60 - Youtuber lists Afro ESC's but some people say they burn out too quickly

Frame kit:
H250 ZMR250 250mm Carbon Fiber Mini Quadcopter Multicopter Frame Kit - US$33.60

Telemetry receiver:
FrSky D4R-II 2.4G 4CH ACCST Telemetry Receiver - US$29.99

Transmitter module:
Skyzone TS5823 5.8G 200mW 32CH AV Transmitter Module - US$20.49

FPV Monitor:

Propellers:

Flight controller:

Batteries:

Or as someone has suggested on another forum:

Just browsing the Quadcopter forums, I found someone suggested this:

Seems to have really good reviews, relatively inexpensive, and I wouldn't have to buy the Skyzone TS5823.

This is the Charger I have picked: - If you have one that is a bit more expensive, link me. But I need to keep it to a budget.

What is an inexpensive RC transmitter that will work with this setup?
I don't want to spend $90+ on a 9ch RC transmitter.

Last question: What battery will I need for the Quanum complete FPV?

If anything is alight, I will order the parts.

Welcome to Minirider's

Drop in and say hello in our Introduce Yourself thread too while you are here.

It look's like it'll be an interesting build!

I can't say i have seen them built up part by part.
What's the con's of building one yourself ?
Better component's, or much cheaper ?

Cheer's, Craig
