Hey guyz, in teh process of fitting my lifan 138. But the swingarm bolt engine mount is ~6mm whereas the existing bolt is 12mm. Just wanting to confirm that all bikes with these engines run a 6mm swingarm bolt. Ill just get a 6mm bolt and and fab up some bushes for the pivot points that are meant to be 12mm.

cheers

Hey mate I just checked my DHZ, the swinger bolt is 10mm and engine mount bolt in front of it is 8mm. 6mm sounds a bit to small to me

Trying to fit it to an 'ares' bike, was fitted with a loncin 125, twin spar frame etc. Looks alot like the agb 21 but with beefier twin spar. Looks like this is my hurdle, rest shud be ok.

Yea, ive got some 8mm bar and just pushes that thru so i looks like its an 8mm bolt. Even 10mm sounds a bit small for a swing arm bolt! If i fit the engine with an 8mm bolt with some bushes on the load bearing surface it shud be rite.

But if your bike has a 10mm swinger bolt and u got same engine then this shud b 10mm, but the 8mm rod i got felt pretty taught in there...

On every bike pit bike frame ive had the swingarm only mounts to the frame, not the engine so shouldnt matter about swinger bolt anyway. U probably have, but just check and make sure ur looking at the right mounting points. Im sure that 8mm hole will be just for an engine mount but im not sure about what frame u have so I could be totally wrong.

the rear engine mount is held by the swingarm bolt on my bike. Its the mount at the very back bottom of the engine...

I've seen a few like that but not for a while .....
how old is it ? ....can you post a pic?

Just, but its only cast alloy and would leave mayb 1 or 2mm which isnt idea. Ill just get an 8mm bolt and make up some bushes on the lathe and should be fine.

Only one other mod and thats the stator cover just needs the be trimmed but thats a 5min job...

Can anyone forsee any other probs i might come across?

cant f**king wait. Found a good new fresh trail, and an area with some dirt mounds to convert to a nice table top woohoo!
