Try making a simple guard, a piece of metal strap bent so it is 2cm out from the pipe should work, hold it on with hose clamps. I had the same problem when I raced a Hagon Yamaha.

I got it from a auto electrition/exhaust specialist shop, just came across it. Mabye auto1 or some other place. Or a hareware shop. You need to make sure there is enough space to wrap it around. Works good though. Only down side is when you wash it, then go riding it steems until it is dry.
