gas suspension

hey all i undid the bottom bolts that hold the suspension, bike just fell and gas started coming out of the suspension.

now you sit on it and its hard as shit.

what do i have to do to fix it?

i have no idea what happened but next time try putting the bike on a milk crate or something...i suppose all the pressure came out of the suspension or something...i dunno. if it has a valve on it try pumping it back up?

got the shck regased.

how do i install it properly so that it doesnt explode again.

if you've got a tri swinger
you will need the suspention adjusti nuts to the back or bottom
if it's a full floater swinger it can only go one way
i'm not sure what you did but it was wrong hence the gas pissing out
you will know about it if it explodes ha

sorry i dont understand what your saying.

im up for a new shock as the shop cant get any valves in.

i dont know the size or anything but its a FASTACE F5H-F5J the stock one.

Which one can i get that will fit my bike (ATOMIK PROX 06 MODEL 125)?

ok the 06 pro x has a fast ace bs-33ar not a 5h or what ever try getting the same fast ace one off ebay.

thats the model it says on the shock.

the fast ace bs-33ar looks the same anyway.

I can still be riding without a valve and no air in the shock right, but will anything happen?

and also how do i fit a new shock without busting the valve again?

if you ride without one it will probably make the ride like a trampoline so i would get it fixed and to fit one proply put the bike on something like a mil crate or bike stand etc.

by the way the whole valve got ripped out .

does the new one just glue on, theres no thread on the valve?

if so i can just regas it with the new valve on?

first off pics dude pics would help as the rest of what im goint to say is a guess dont know the bike but i think it has a twin spar frame right?


if so forget the reservoir typ shock as they wont fit

i have a agb 29 so im only going on that but i think the bikes the same just smaller ?

just sit bike on bucket or something milk creat< undo shocl top and bottom
measure shock fron bolt hole to bolt hole

dunno there size as mines bigger id say
probly like 270mm as a guess or 280mm

what ever get size go on fleebay and buy a new 1 sheesh
trying to fix a pretty crappy shock at the best of times ,is a waste of time

buy a new 1 bolt it on and go for a ride , come backhere say cheers lads for all ya help,THEN deleat this thread
