I was lookin at pit bike and i came across this pit bike (yamoto detonator) it seems pretty good it has a lifian motor and all the other stuff the price seems alright.
So if you could tell me what the good and bad things about it that would be awsome:) http://www.yamoto.com.au/

Hey, what about the "Terminator" listed on the www.yamoto.com.au website, looks like a good equivalent to the BSE/MONSOON/MSO bikes.
Don't know about the oil cooler though, just another part that can be smashed off!
Anyone got any thoughts?

Ok. Yeah i was lookin at the Terminator as well it looks smaller than the Detonator and about $150 less but i cant tell what motor it has is it a lifian or ducar?
Sorry but im really new to all this!

Don't worry mate I'm in the same boat as you, it's all new to me.
At the moment I'm toying up between the MSO (www.motospeed.com.au) and now the Terminator (still waiting for some more details on this bike from the supplier).

Yea Those MSO's look really good there use to be heaps on ebay a few weeks back but they seem to be all gone. They were really cheap as well about $850 which is the same price as the terminator at http://www.yamoto.com.au

Does anyone on this forum own or have seen the Yamoto Terminator in action?
I reckon i'll be buying an MSO bike on Monday and I'm trying to find more info about the Yamoto Terminator before I take the plunge.

I wasn't sure about the Yamoto brand, so I did a bit of research. It was one of the hardest companies to trace the manufacturing back to the source that I've had so far. For those who are interested....
Yamoto have their bikes manufactured by Chongqing Huansong Industries (Group) Co. Ltd. (formerly known as Chongqing Wangguan Motorcycle Industry Ca. Ltd.)
http://cqmotor.manufacturer.globalsources.com/si/6008801466189/Homepage.htm (The actual Chinese website is not worth posting as the bandwidth in China is p a i n f u l l y s l o w)

Since July 2005 the sole worldwide distribution rights of the Yamoto brand is owned by Patriot Motorcycles in the USA and will be until 2040.

Here's what I find interesting....you should be able to find the exact bike on a distributer's website and on the manufacturer's website. If not, the distributer is either building/altering a bike from parts themselves or sourcing from another manufacturer.
Some of the range at http://www.yamoto.com.au/ are definately being sourced from somewhere other than Chongqing Huansong Industries and badged as 'Yamoto'.
(Dunno how rebadging other products as 'Yamoto' stands with this...)
http://www.techagreements.com/Agreement-Preview.asp?num=207174

Chongqing Huansong Industries has big ATV and road bike ranges but are not well developed in pitbikes. Most of their dirtbikes are peewee 50 copies (or oversized ones) in their PY range. (not surprisingly Yamoto has been in court with Yamaha over trademarks). But the main point is that I don't believe that the 'Terminator' or the 'Dominator' are actual Yamoto at all. The Dominator is obviously an Apollo AGB29 but the Terminator is harder to tell. It shares a few parts with the BSE (A6/A7 models) that MSO is selling but I'm willing to bet that it is a hybrid as it has a strange geometry.

In short....I'd go with the MSO or the Monsoon.

I'd go for the XY-50-Q51, what a gun! Get a NOS sticker stuck on the side of that chunky ass seat and it will FLY! Haha

The detonator is the same as the AGB29 with Ducar engion, why is that crap ?

Not sure what you mean...could you quote the post you're talking about?

I ve got a AGB29 and it is cheap but the engine is alright. I changed the timing a bit re jetted it put a K&N filter on it and re did the tappets. It will keep up with a 06 thumpstar 125 and Ive given it a hard time. The thing that I have had trouble with is the rear axle bending and breaking the hub. It cost like $800 and I expect to have to fix it. I race moto x and I have to fix my race bike as well.
