Kawasaki KV75

hey i was wondering if anyone can help me out with a few questions... i want to know if kawasaki kv 75's manufactured before 1975 without a compliance plate can be registered in nsw so they can be ridden on the road legally. i was told that because they were manufactured before 1975 they did not need a compliance plate to be registered is this true. any help would be appreciated
