Hello all,

Have just replaced the Kick Start gears on a Lifan 140cc and have assembled the clutch assembly and the rest but I have boo booed some where.

The cluth activtion is not correct and it is always on . The lever travel is almost not there.

I think I have muddled up the thrust washers in the clutch basket.

Can any one shed some light on the order and direction of these two wahers. One is a flat washer that slides directly over the splines of the main shaft and the other has three prongs that slide over the main shaft.

I have put the pronged one in first with the prongs facing into the motor and then the flat thrust washer. An exploded view drawing would be great if any one has one.

Regards
Rob

Hey dude ,
Cant remember exactly but i think it is the other way around
Put the flat washer in first then rotate so you can fit the 3 prong washer to lock it in ,
Sorry but i have not got any pics of this or an exploded view ,
I have done a lot of these repairs on my bike and customer bikes and im sure it goes this way ,
Hope this helps ,
Good luck ,

Thanks Slick,

When you say lock it in, do the prongs fit between the flatwasher & the spline?

Rob

yer ,
you have to turn the washer so the prongs lock it in to keep the basket from coming out ,
good luck ,

Rick
