so my friend has just bought himself a set of motard rims. he is going to put the same tire sizes on front and rear wheels. The rims are 12x2.15 and 12x2.5. Is this normal or foolish ?

I use a 100 front tyre on a 2.15 rim and a 120 rear tyre on a 2.5 rim. I use the front all the way to the edge (no chicken strips) but the rear has about 5-10mm of chicken strip each side. He may find he is losing the rear on the edge of the tyre?? I'm considering mounting the rear to a 3" rear rim to use all of it, but I'm also considering dropping the rear pressure a bit more to get more "squish" out of it, therefore use it all the way to edge!!

All sorted. He went back to the shop today and they said they made a mistake and will not fit 2 of the same tires... thank f***!
