i just found this when looking on ebay and thought why would he try sell it for so much when you can buy them cheaper new.

that guy is stupid, its bad enough for people to sell things for the same price as a new one whether it is barely used or not, but to actually raise the price and expecting someone to pay it is simply stupid.
if someone does buy it now, that guy will be very happy and will actually make a bit of profit.
