I just realised I haven't put up a build of my bike. Its a 2008 mso140s. I bought it new Nov of that year. Anyone that's been around miniriders awhile would remember mso bikes.

Anyways here is the run down

- 140cc lifan
- ported head and manifold
- oko 26mm carby
- quarter turn throttle
- secret fork oil lol
- akunar a2 cam - installed Anzac day
- HD valve springs
- one camo stickers

Time for some pics

Bike looks heaps nice, with the akunar does it have much more power?

havent really got to test it properly. haha they are the original tyres! ridden much? haha

Ahah nice, original tires after 4 years really! That's so good, what a find!

Finally given it a good squirt and the power is noticeable compared to stock. Only drama I'm having is jetting. Changed from a 36 and a 98 to a 38 - 102 under the direction of numroe's build (very similar to mine). Took it for a rip and it idles heaps better. I was having lots of dramas with false revs but seems OK. Also it tends to bog slightly when u snap the 1/4 throttle on which I think is an OK thing. But all in all happy. I now have a yx150 to throw in just wondering if the lifan head fit the yx. Its an older model. Looks very similar

Well bit of an update, blew the kick start gears in the 140 so while they arrive I thought I'd swap the yx150 into it. Pretty easy swap a few bits and pieces I had to much around with. Threw the 26mm oko on as well. First impressions --- should not take off like I normally do, near destroyed my fence lol :) this thing pulls like a tractor!! 1st is a joke, 2nd lifts the wheel the whole gear with ease. Scary ease. I have no idea how you guys with 184cc, 160-170cc with v2's blah blah ride... and stay on. Can see this thing throwing me off very soon!!

Righto bit the bullet and mad a decision. Sold one pitty and kept the mso. Just ordered a tb 170 kit, new plastics, new grips, new seat. She will be pulled fully down, reprinted frame, new wheel bearings, swingarm bearings, new sticker kit and a few bling bits as well. Also been given the green light to come race in bris so probly April I reckon. I'm not fast but gee I can crash with style!!! Pics to come

had a busy arvo. Pulled the bike fully apart and painted the frame and sub frame. Also cleaned up a few parts. Pulled the head off the motor. Wow haha. Joys of getting a second hand motor. Tried what I thought was a yx150 head but heaps different. Anyone know what it is? Had my little helper aswell which was good. Cant wait for the parts to arrive and put her together.

Def stubsy if it fits in with work and stuff, or i can work around work haha. the boys may beat us to the line but we do crash with style.

well the new goodies have arrived!! woo! The joys of having an older style bike and fitting new parts to it. Lucky I bought a newer style yx150 head awhile ago as the one on now doesn't match up to the tb 170 kit I have. Got a set of pro tapers coming now too (thanks hellrazor) . Seat and plastics are on. Sticker kit will be ordered next week. gonna try something real different too so hopefully it works. stay tuned....

Wheres the pics dude, dont forget to start another build thread for the expected bubs pitty hahaha, its never to early as you know some builds can take years.:food-smiley-005:

This damn bike is fighting me every inch of the way! Got the yx160 but still chasing a case. Really wanting this thing to go so even toying with the idea of swaping the yx150 crank into the yx160 case so it will be function. Or buy a yx160 slingerless crank. At a hundred a throw would there be much of a different between the the 150/160??

i could only imaging it pushing the power figures higher up on the chart.. also less piston speed so you would get a longer crank life

Ok pulled the yx150 crank out to put into my yx160 so I could run the tb kit. All good until actually putting in into the 160. The yx150 crank bearings are a tad smaller so doesn't sit nice and flush inside the 160 cases. hahaha all I can do is laugh. I put it all back the same way, redid the valve clearances on the 150 and threw her back into the bike. Took it for a spin today. Blowing smoke still but might just order the 160 slingerless crank and be done with it. Took some pics today. Felt good to be back on the bike

All dirty

All clean

still need a sticker kit. Need to splurge on some front forks too.

if they are how do yours perform?i just bought some and have ridden with them only once and am unsure how the adjustments work(e.g clickers on the bottom ,fast n slow up top?any help would be appreciated. Im very very new to miniriders and looks like the place to be!:)

Hey mate,

The forks on the bike aren't GPX.

The adjustment on the GPX forks is for both compression and rebound. The clickers will adjust the speed of the compression and rebound. Turn them to one extreme and give the forks a push and then turn them to the other extreme and push. Should be able to see pretty quick which rotation increases fork compression/rebound speed.

A good quote:

High performance = slow compression, fast rebound, & bruised kidneys

Plush Ride = fast compression, slow rebound, & poor performance, but happy kidneys.
