any way she has been sitting since 1977 and has seized solid on the bottom end
i have stripped it down to the point where i have the crank cases apart

and now is where the problem comes about,
on the right hand side of the crank there is a pin that stick out which i presume is there to turn the cog that spins the disc valve

under the black bit,

how the frig do i get that pin out?? i can't get that pin past the bearing,
it looks like the bearing is supposed to head out wards, as there is a circlip there.

am i missing something?? is that bearing meant to go into the bottom end??

any way, any help greatly appreciated,

cheers

dirty kiwi haha yer this forum is pretty good just not for this kind of stuff :p most people have dirty old 600 doller bikes and wouldnt dare to pull apart there engine if this had happend... someone mite be able to help maybe... i think i seen a classic 50 forum type thing for these kind of old bikes somewere mite be abit better for ya.

lol, thats better
well i managed to get the pin out and the crank is now free, oh joy!!
now i have have to give the crank to the bike shop to press everything free,
and give the buggers money, thats the worse bit
heres the seized crank

thats what get for leaving a bike for 32 years with out starting it...
barrell and piston are good though

its a 60cc :D its those extra 10cc that really count hehe

i suppose it could be worse, the rest of the bike is in ok condition,
but the big end bearing (needle bearing) is locked solid and the connecting rod won't move,
them the breaks,
hopefully the bike shop can track down some bearings for me
