hey guys. i should be buying a b rand new xjr within the month and was wondering what oils yous would recommend to run it in with as i have never had to do it before?

cheers

do yous think i should drop the oil that omes in it straight away?

yep. Put the good stuff in first before you even start her :)

Torco T-4 4-Stroke Motor Oil SAE 10W40.
im thinking on this oil, is this good to use in a xjr50? also anytips on running the bike some people say ride hard some say ride slow, iv always been told ride slow in second for 2 tanks of fuel replace the oil then to that again. wahts everyone here do?

Go the Castrol mate, now its been a while but from memory its the 50 part you want because thats the viscosity at operating temperature. check out Dvdrips thread by Cactus on running in an engine. There's alot of myths out there, I can vouch for this 10 hours on my bike now, runs sweet
