I have a 2009 pit pro 150cc pro light. It has a 150cc lifan motor on it. I just picked it up and it has never been started . Its probley been sitin for a year or so. I brought it home and put gas in it and started breaking it in. After about 30 mins i rode it down the street and when i pulled back up to the house oil was spraying out of the seal around the kick starter and blowing smoke out of the exhaust. I turned it off draind all the oil out and put 1 quart back in it and pushed the rubber seal back in around the kick starter. When i start it back up it stoped leaking there but still blows smoke out the exhaust when i give it gas? Im freakin out because its brand new...please help

Generally blowing smoke means it is burning oil.
and you say you put "1 quart back in it", are you referring to you put 1 quater of the old oil back in the motor?

and also, what was your break-in proses?

may have been overfilled with oil so drain the current oil in there and chuck it cause its S**t and fill it with the required amount. Also do you mean you put a quarter of the oil back in cause that could be very bad for your engine.

How did it feel to ride? Was the throttle response good?

a quart is a U.S measurement.. And i belive it's around 900ml SO
1) you put too much oil in like Goose said (correct amount is around 800ml depending if your running an oil cooler or not)
2) Check the engine breather pipe is not blocked
3)Sounds like there is now oil in your exhaust a good 5min + ride should get rid of it.

Like timeeh said, defianatly check the breather hose at the rear top to check it isn't blocked

i drained all of the old oil out of the motor (all of it) i bought 1 jug= 1 quart of oil back in it.... when i started up it still puffed smoke when i hit the gas. what gets me is, this is a new motor. when i got back from runing it down the street . it was spraying oil from the seal around the kick starter.??? now it still smokes out of the exhaust when i give it gas???? where would the breather hose be?when i was riding it... it felt strong and had the power. it was just smoking?

Its at the top rear of the engine in front of your chocky, is the smoke a whitish grey?

so why would it have enough pressure to pop out the seal around the kick starter??? after i shut the motor off i took the kick starter off and pushed that seal back in to the side case and it hasnt leaked from there yet?? it was really weird... do you think there was to much oil in it? or bad piston rings..valves... or am i just freaking out and i just havent broken it in enough yet??

OK, If you have a look back through the previous posts you will see a couple saying you may have put too much oil in.... And based on a Quart being 950ml, AGAIN i'm gonna say your overfilling it. Don't mean to be rude but it was written in a couple of posts....

if i am correct these engines have an oil glass?

so if it does, stand the bike up so its not on an angle then it the glass is half full with oil you are good.

if you're over im pretty sure you know what can happen and also if you're under the halfway.

Well if the crankcase breather is blocked and the pressure builds up and hasn't quite gotten past the compression rings it will blow that seal out, I have seen that before. Once again have you checked the crankcase breather hose for a blockage?

well. i got off of work last night and went home and drained a little bit of oil out and made it half way in the oil peep hole.then i checked the breather hose and just like rotn50 said...that hose was bent in half and as soon as i pulled it off pressure released out of the casing. so thank you for all of your help

You guessed it timeeh,I just followed up. Well done lad.

and let me ask a question. on a 09 pitpro with the honda style plastics... are they crf 50 or crf 70 graphics?? and will crf 70 plastics fit the bike

they do have a oil glass, on the bottom right hand side, and also they have lines in the castings to let the operator know if its over or under filled
