Question about chain / swingarm

So bought this bike , didn't notice chain was hitting swingarm .. linkage broke off , bought a new one & My chain seems to be to short , chain hits swingarm & I can't put my rear tire back on.. how many links does everyone else use.. any help is appreciated, thanks

if your chain is too short, get a new longer one and make it fit.
counting the links isn't going to make it fit
