if air gets through so will water mate... but your best protection is a uni air filter with a desent does of filter oil...hope that helps

the only way to keep MOST water out is the good old airbox... i still run the stock CRF50 box for this same reason...

Uni-Filters start from around $28, You can make your own air box out of a Tupperware container, I have done that for my trike when riding on the beach, was thinking about doing it for the boys bikes when they ride on the beach or in the rain.
I will have to sneak some old containers out of the kitchen without the missus catching me.
