rear shocks (differences?)

what is the difference between a shock that is 250lb and a 1200lb shock.
would the 1000lb shock be stiffer?

and why do some shock have a "piggy back" reservoir
does this make it a better shock?

yes that will make it way stiffer.

250-350 lb shocks are usually for a-style swingarms

800-1200 are for big bike style swingarms.

i got a 500lb spring shock in my crf with an A style swinger and its too stiff. would like a 300lb if I can find a spring for it.
